Abstract
A semiquantitative nonlinear field theory of the brain is presented derived from the quasimicroscopic conversion properties of neural populations. Realistic anatomical connectivity conditions like long range excitation and short range inhibition are used. Predictions of our field equation are checked against experimental MEG results.
