Bound-State Eigenfunctions of Classically Chaotic Hamiltonian Systems: Scars of Periodic Orbits

Abstract

Certain unstable periodic orbits are shown to permanently scar some quantum eigenfunctions as 0, in the sense that extra density surrounds the region of the periodic orbit.
