Abstract
We analyze an alternative formulation of the standard model in which the SU(2) gauge interaction becomes confining at energies of order ≃300 GeV. We show that, making reasonable dynamical assumptions, this model accounts for all electroweak phenomena up to and including the W and Z mass scales. At yet higher energies the model predicts a wealth of new phenomena.
