Grand unification and supergravity in SO(10)

Abstract

We extend the supergravity model to SO(10) gauge symmetry. There is a hierarchical structure with intermediate mass scale for SO(10)-symmetry breaking, along with a tree-level weak-symmetry breaking caused by a Polony-type potential in a manner parallel to SU(5)-symmetry breaking.
