Abstract
The anisotropy in the angular distribution of α particles from oriented and nuclei, which are among the strongest deformed α emitters, was measured. Large α anisotropies have been observed for all three nuclei. The results are compared with calculations based on α-particle tunneling through a deformed Coulomb barrier.
