Abstract

A state at 22.722 ± 0.005-MeV excitation in O16, with a width of 12.5 ± 2.5 keV, has been observed as a resonance in the N14+d and C12+α reactions. The level is assigned Jπ=0+ on the basis of excitation functions for the reaction C12(α,α2)C12 measured at various angles and is presumed to be the T=2 state reported at this energy. Several partial widths are obtained.
