Abstract

Accurate differential cross sections for elastic and inelastic C12 scattering by Ne20 and Ne22 have been measured at up to 15 angles and in laboratory energy steps of ∼ 100 keV for 20<~EClab<~34 MeV (12.5<Ec.m.<21.5 MeV). Several broad maxima appear in elastic scattering by Ne20 but not by Ne22. The cross section for C12(Ne20, O16) O16 was negligible in this energy range.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C12 + Ne20,22 elastic and inelastic scattering, 20<~EC<~34.4 MeV; measured σ(E, θ) at 15 angles, ΔEC=100 keV; absence of yield to O16 exit channel.
