Concerning the existence of a 16 MeV level in ${}_{}{}^6{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Li}$

The 16 MeV level reported in the ${}_{}{}^6{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Li}$($\gamma$,$p$) cross section has been found to result from oxygen contamination.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ${}_{}{}^6{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Li}$($e$,$p$),$E_x=16\mathrm{}$ MeV,measured $\sigma (\theta ,E)$. Deduced ${}_{}{}^6{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Li}$($\gamma$,$p$) $\sigma \left(\theta \right)$. No state at 16.1 MeV.
