Abstract

Measured cross sections for the Li6(d, α)α reaction have been evaluated critically, covering the range 0.06-10 MeV and extrapolation carried out to the low energy region using Gamow plots. The reaction rate parameter σν for thermonuclear reactions at equilibrium velocity distribution has been determined as a function of the plasma temperature T of the reacting nuclei from the experimental and extrapolated cross section values (T=2 keV to 1.0 MeV).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Li6(d, α); Ed=3 keV1 MeV thermalized σ(Ed) extrapolation, thermalized σv optimized integration.
