Abstract

Using the effective Yale interaction the Lipkin-Nogami version of the spherical BCS method is applied to study the ground-state properties of Ni, Zn, and Ge isotopes. Calculations are performed using three different conditions to determine the parameter λ2 of the Lipkin-Nogami method. Neutron-pair separation energies are compared with the experimental values.
