Elementary formula for the Hall conductivity of interacting systems

Abstract

A formula for the Hall conductivity of interacting electrons is given under the assumption that the ground state manifold is Ngs-fold degenerate and discrete translation symmetry is neither explicitly nor spontaneously broken.
