Abstract

We report the observation of the electromagnetically induced inhibition of two-photon absorption with atomic sodium vapor as a test medium. A 60% reduction of two-photon resonant absorption was recorded at the 3S4D transition when a cw coupling laser was applied at the 3P5S transition.
