Hyperfine Structure of ${\mathrm{Au}}^{197}$ in Fe Measured with the Mössbauer Effect

Using the Mössbauer effect to study the hfs of ${\mathrm{Au}}^{197}$: Fe, we have measured the moment of the 77.3-keV first excited state to be +0.419 ${\mathrm{\mu }}_{\mathit{N}}$ and the internal field to be 1.28 MOe. These values are somewhat different from, and more accurate than, previous results.
