Abstract
The total neutron cross section of has been measured for neutron energies from 3.4 to 6.5 MeV corresponding to excitation energies from 5.5 to 8.5 MeV. Neutrons with energy spreads between 15 and 50 keV were produced by the reaction with deuterons from a Van de Graaff accelerator. Resonance structure was observed in the cross section which corresponds to levels in ; the resonance amplitudes have been interpreted in terms of values for these levels. The experimental results have been compared with theoretical calculations of Lemmer and Shakin, and the excitation energies of the observed resonances have been compared with those of known levels for the -- isobaric triad.
