Note on the Electromagnetic Current in S${\mathrm{U}}_3$ Symmetry

The possible existence of strongly interacting particles which behave like triplets under the S${\mathrm{U}}_3$ symmetry group adds a new contribution to the electromagnetic current, part of which transforms like a scalar under S${\mathrm{U}}_3$. We examine some consequences for the electromagnetic properties of baryons and mesons, considered as composite states of these triplets.
