Abstract

The dynamics of two particles with a short-range repulsive or attractive interaction is studied numerically in the Harper model. It is shown that an interaction leads to the appearance of localized states and a pure-point spectrum component in the case when the noninteractive system is quasidiffusive or ballistic. In the localized phase an interaction gives only a stronger localization contrary to the case of two interacting particles in a random potential.
