Abstract

We present a theoretical description of ultrasonic attenuation in granular superconductors, with attention to the role of fluctuations in both amplitude and phase of the order parameter. The analysis provides simple expressions which approximate the frequency and temperature variation of the attenuation constant, in various characteristic regimes.
