Abstract

The one-pion and two-pion-exchange contributions to pion-nucleon scattering, nucleon-electron scattering (nucleon electromagnetic form factors), and nucleon-nucleon scattering are examined using as closely similar methods as possible. These contributions are compared to experimental phase shifts which do not depend on the exchange of more than two pions.
