Abstract
The differential equations for a plate column are solved for cases that arise in the concentration of isotopes, where there is a small difference in the concentration in the liquid and gas phases, or where the equilibrium constant for ion exchange is very nearly unity. A formula suitable for computation is deduced, and curves are given showing the rate of approach to equilibrium for various numbers of plates.
