Abstract

The phase diagram of composite fermion states with different spin polarizations is computed and found to be in good quantitative agreement with experiment. It is shown that the effective mass describing the spin polarization physics is different from and possibly much larger than the effective mass defined by the activation energies. Experimental implications will be mentioned.
