Abstract

Fluctuation-induced transitions between coexisting periodic attractors have been investigated with an analog electronic circuit model. Calculations and measurements of the spectral densities of fluctuations have revealed superimposed twin-peaked partial spectra and a supernarrow spectral peak whose intensity depends critically on the distance from the phase transition where the populations of the attractors equalize.
