Mechanism for understanding small neutrino mass in superstring theories

Abstract

We propose a new mechanism for understanding small neutrino masses in supersymmetric theories without unnatural fine tuning of parameters. This idea may be useful for superstring E6 models, where the conventional mechanism is not available for suppressing neutrino masses.
