Abstract

It is shown that calculability of the mixing angles in a class of n-generation, leftright-symmetric SU(2)LSU(2)RU(1) models restricts the fermion mass matrix to be of the form Σm=0nImAm with the constraint Σm=0nmIm=n, where Am is a nonsingular m×m Hermitian or complex symmetric block containing 2m1 elements and Im is the number of such blocks. Such a mass matrix cannot supply CP-invariance-violating phases.
