Low-Temperature Behavior of Pyroelectricity

Abstract

Molecular-field theory is shown to lead to a linear temperature dependence of the primary pyroelectric coefficient near absolute zero. It is argued that the T3 dependence claimed by Szigeti is only correct for rigid ions.
