Validity of Scaling Relations between Nucleon Form Factors

Abstract

We prove, within the framework of analytic S-matrix theory and the physical mass spectrum, that the following scaling relations cannot be rigorously true for all t: (i) GMV(t)GEV(t), (ii) GMV(t)=R1(t)GEV(t)+R2(t), where R1,2(t) are rational functions of t, (iii) Fπ(t)GEV(t), and (iv) Fπ(t)GMV(t).
