Abstract

The magnetic moment of the first $2^{+}$ state at 558.5 keV in ${}^{114}{Cd}$ has been measured to be $| μ_{2} | = 0.88 \pm 0.12 μ_{N}$ by the perturbed gamma-gamma angular correlation technique utilizing the internal hyperfine field in an Fe lattice.
