Abstract
A determination of the spin and parity of the is presented using photoproduction data from the CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab. The reaction is analyzed in the decay channel , where the decay distribution to and the variation of the polarization with respect to the polarization direction determines the parity. The is produced, in the energy range and for , with polarization . The analysis shows that the decays are in wave, with the polarized such that the has spin-parity , as expected by most theories.
