Abstract
Scaling of the imaginary part of the forward scattering amplitude for scalar-photon-scalar-nucleon scattering is shown to be consistent with the Jost-Lehmann-Dyson (JLD) representation. The first nonleading term in the expansion in inverse powers of is retained to demonstrate the scale-breaking effect. The coordinate-space treatment is shown to be equivalent to the JLD approach to order .
