Search for CP violation in ${\mathit{D}}^0$ decay

Using 2.7 ${\mathrm{fb}}^{\mathrm{-}1}$ of data taken with the CLEO II detector, we have searched for CP violation in the charm system. We looked for asymmetries in the number of decays of ${\mathit{D}}^0$’s and D${\mathrm{¯}}^0$’s to the CP eigenstates ${\mathit{K}}^{+}$${\mathit{K}}^{\mathrm{-}}$, ${\mathit{K}}_{\mathit{S}}^0$φ, and ${\mathit{K}}_{\mathit{S}}^0$${\mathrm{\pi }}^0$. Confidence intervals (90%) on these asymmetries were found to be -0.020<${\mathit{A}}_{\mathit{K}\mathit{K}}$<0.180, -0.182<${\mathit{A}}_{\mathit{K}\mathit{S}}^0$φ<0.126, and -0.067<${\mathit{A}}_{\mathit{K}\mathit{S}}^0$${\mathrm{\pi }}^0$<0.031, respectively.
