Abstract

It is shown that the bound on entropy-to-energy ratio recently proposed by Bekenstein actually implies the existence of a limitation on the entropy-to-surface ratio SA<~14 for any bounded spherical system. The implications of this on the full number of particle species that may exist are briefly discussed.
