New Derivation and Generalization of a Modified Eikonal Formula

Abstract

An alternative derivation is presented for a modified eikonal formula for potential scattering recently obtained by Lévy and Sucher. Generalizations corresponding to trajectories formed from an arbitrary number of straight-line segments are also derived.
