Abstract

We examine the question of boundary conditions in the Einstein-Cartan theory for nonstatic fluid spheres with empty space outside. For dust spheres, in particular, the continuity of spin (and hence torsion) at the boundary seems to be a rigorous mathematical requirement. A particular solution for a dust sphere bouncing from a minimum volume is exhibited.
