Abstract

The thermal cross sections and resonance integrals of Pd108,110 have been deduced for radiative neutron captures leading to both the ground and metastable states of Pd109,111. These determinations were based on measurements of the intensity of the γ rays emitted in the decays of Pdg,m109 and Pdg,m111 following neutron irradiation of Pd108,110. To facilitate more reliable values of the cross sections, improved values for the half-lives of these decays have also been measured.
