Abstract

Using published E2 matrix elements, I have determined the amount of mixing between the lowest two 2+,4+, and 6+ states in Ge72. I also extracted the E2 strengths connecting the unmixed states. One set of basis states is found to form an excellent K=0 rotational band, and the other is found to form a K=2 band.
