Abstract
Isoscalar giant resonances in have been studied with inelastic scattering of 240 MeV α particles at small angles including 0°. All of the expected energy-weighted sum rule (EWSR) for the isoscalar resonance was found (112%). A significant portion of the EWSR was found for the isoscalar (83%), (61%), and the high-energy octupole (46%) resonances. The strength distributions are compared with the predictions from Hartree-Fock random-phase-approximation calculations with the KDE0v1 Skyrme-type interaction.
