Abstract

I have used a simple potential model to calculate single-particle widths in P27. Assuming mirror symmetry, I have combined them with the spectroscopic factor from the reaction Mg26(d,p) to compute proton widths for the 3/2+ first-excited state. I present results for the resonance strength parameter ωγ and for the (p,γ) reaction rate for two values of the γ width and two values of the resonance energy.
