Addendum to “Measurement of the Li8(α,n)11B reaction and astrophysical implications”

Abstract

In the previous work, we performed direct and exclusive measurements of the Li8+α reaction and provided cross section data for the Li8(α,n)11B reaction [Phys. Rev. C 62, 065801 (2000)]. Recently, we reanalyzed the data and obtained additional cross section data for the Li8(α,αn)7Li reaction at center-of-mass energies between 2.0 and 7.0 MeV; the new data complement those of the Li8(α,n)11B reaction obtained in the previous work. The sum of their cross sections is consistent with the reaction cross section of the Li8+α reaction estimated by a classical formula.
