Comment on “Theoretical study of the pressure effect on the electron-capture β decay of Be7 in BeO7 and Be7(OH)2

Abstract

We comment on a recently published paper that has demonstrated that the increase in the electron-capture nuclear decay rate of Be7 in BeO7 under compression can be accounted for by the phase transformation of BeO from the wurtzite to the rock-salt structure.
