Abstract
The STAR Collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider presents measurements of at midrapidity and high transverse momentum () in and central collisions at GeV. The inclusive production cross section for collisions is found to be consistent at high with the binary collision-scaled cross section for collisions. At a confidence level of , this is in contrast to a suppression of production observed at lower . Azimuthal correlations of with charged hadrons in collisions provide an estimate of the contribution of -hadron decays to production of .
