Abstract

86Nb was produced using the 58Ni(32S,3pn) reaction at 130 MeV. γ-ray linear polarizations were measured with a four-crystal “clover” Compton polarimeter. Results from this and an angular distribution measurement have led to spin-parity assignments for the 6, 7+, and 8+ low-lying states.
