Abstract

New dispersion relations for πN P wave scattering which is constrained by the scattering volume are derived. It turns out that Castillejo-Dalitz-Dyson poles can be included only in the simplest form of dispersion relations. In order to derive the pionic scattering volume for the P wave, the ρ meson effect is subtracted from the experimental one.
