Photoactivation of ${}_{}{}^{111}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cd}$

The photoactivation of the 396 keV ($T_{\frac{1}{2}}\sim 49$ min) isomeric level has been studied with a ${}_{}{}^{60}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Co}$ source. As in an earlier investigation of ${}_{}{}^{115}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{In}$, evidence has been found for a nonresonant process contributing to the excitation of the isomeric level.
