Abstract

The interplay between interband and intraband pairing interactions in multiband systems can result in superconducting order parameter with the broken time-reversal symmetry (BTRS). Here we consider a slightly inhomogeneous superconductor with the BTRS order parameter in the framework of Ginzburg-Landau functional. We show that the Giznburg-Landau functional possesses a minimum with zero spontaneous internal magnetic fields in the absence of the external magnetic fields. This extension of the functional space is important for understanding of experimental situation in multiband superconductors.
