Abstract
We calculate the distribution of eigenfunction amplitudes and the variance of the inverse participation ratio (IPR) in disordered metallic samples. A relation is established between the distribution function of the IPR and that of level velocities—parametric derivatives of energy levels with respect to a random perturbation.
