Abstract

We report the results of electrical-resistivity measurements in the temperature interval 1.5–300 K on the pseudoternary system CePd2Si2xGex. Replacement of Si by Ge results in a decrease of the Néel temperature as well as of the Kondo temperature. This observation supports an earlier conclusion that CePd2Si2 is situated at the peak of Doniach’s magnetic phase diagram. This study establishes that CePd2Ge2 is an antiferromagnetic Kondo lattice.
