Highly anisotropic metals in magnetic fields: Localization and critical point

Abstract

Scattering at microcracks in quasi-one-dimensional metals in relatively weak magnetic fields leads to localization in a semimetal-metal phase diagram with a critical point. This is consistent with experiments in Bechgaard salts.
