Interpretation of activated resistivity in the quantum Hall regime by a statistical model of inhomogeneities

Abstract

A previously published statistical model for inhomogeneities of the two-dimensional electron gas in heterostructures is used to interpret measurements of the activated resistivity in the quantum Hall regime. We show that this model does excellently reproduce experimental results.
