Simplified treatment of electronic energy levels in disordered systems

Abstract

A simplified phenomenological treatment of a model for electronic energy levels in disordered systems is presented, and shown to yield the same physical description as obtained previously by Friedberg and Luttinger for the case of weak-short-range electron-impurity interactions.
