Abstract

We consider a dual recycled interferometer for detecting gravitational waves. Squeezed light is injected into the interferometer through the output port. We analyze the sensitivity of the detector for two cases of interest, namely, the broadband and the narrow-band modes of operation. The improvement in sensitivity due to the squeezed light is investigated in such a setup. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
