Abstract
An investigation has been made of the neutron-induced gamma rays from natural calcium for incident neutron energies in the range from 3.5 to 5.0 MeV. Gamma rays which result from the (), (), and () reactions in and from the () reaction in are observed. The 90° differential gamma-ray production cross sections are presented for gamma rays with energies of 0.51, 0.768, 1.158, 3.730, and 3.900 MeV. The angular distributions of the 0.768-, 3.730-, and 3.900-MeV gamma rays are also given at incident neutron energies of 4.2, 4.4, and 5.0 MeV. The experimental data are well described by the Satchler formalism.
